Warm & dry for now, wetter pattern could emerge soon

2026 starts much warmer than normal in Central Texas, smashing record-high temperatures on Friday. Rain chances have been slim-to-none, with a severe drought worsening.

However, there’s some sign of rain relief, as a pattern change could bring several days of rain back to the Lone Star State.
